Each character model wears a basic necklace that matches the color of the background they're presented on. Ken has light skin, medium-dark brown ear-length hair, and wears a gray jacket, a white top, medium-dark gray pants, and dark gray shoes with partly curved line details in a lighter medium-dark gray shade. Kaori has light skin, dark gray mid-length hair, and wears a white strap top, dark gray pants, and what appear to be gray heels. Chris has brown skin, a medium-dark brown buzz cut, a very dark brown extended goatee, and wears a dark gray short-sleeved T-shirt, black pants, and medium-dark gray shoes with lace cages in two lighter gray shades and dark gray shoelaces. The four use a 1990s 3D art style to represent them, with low polygon limits giving them an angular appearance and very little or no textures on their models.
Unlike the previous VY series and later SARAH, ALLEN, HARUKA, and AKITO, Amy, Chris, Kaori, and Ken have full character designs. Their names were also written in romaji only, giving no further details. Regarding the Japanese vocals Kaori and Ken, no official information was released regarding why their names were chosen or what they may mean.
Chris's name origin has not been clarified by Yamaha. "Chris" could also be a name of its own, though it's uncommon. " Chris" is a name that is usually the short form of "Christopher", which comes from Greek origin and means "Christ-bearer", or "Christian", meaning "follower of Christ". It is a vernacular form of the Latin word "Amata".
