I bought this product on a whim, a friend needed a 'SIM' card read and edited. I located this item online and realized that our Local Wally World had it in stock.

The local Store Manager even let me have it at online price, saving me bout 8 bucks. Now it had been reported that the webpage spoken of in the literature necessary to download the software does not exist. TRUE, it doesn't: it throws you to another site at with the Ol'e 404 error thingie! But Hey, if you look on the very same error page you will notice various brands, one of the brands being SunPak and if you were to click on Sunpak you will eventually end up at and at the bottom of the page you will see download 72-IN-1 FIRMWARE. Now this is the fun part, it's not a FIRMWARE update, it's the software needed to read and edit your sim card. It's not bad, but just googling the phrase 'SIM card editing software' will give you a ton of other options.

So Guy's I guess it's time to put your Big Girl panties on and deal with things! Again, great product, great price and great results. It does what it is suppose to do! If you are here because of the SIM reader capability, here are a few things to know: 1. Grab and review the manuals and USIM editor app from the link other commenter provided. #SUNPAK 72 IN 1 CARD READER SIM DRIVER SOFTWARE MANUALS# The docs reference a CD with drivers for the SIM reader - there is no CD provided, but the USIM editor also installs the SIM reader driver, apparently. Unlike other memory cards, the SIM contents do not appear as files in Windows Explorer. They are only accessible via the editor program. The SIM may or may not hold your contacts and/or recent SMS messages. In my case, I had to use a command on the phone to move contacts from phone memory to SIM, after which the reader and editor did see them. The PDF docs claim that editor can save ('export') contacts to a file in text or CSV format. #SUNPAK 72 IN 1 CARD READER SIM DRIVER SOFTWARE PDF# I only found capability to export in 'usv' format, which contains text embedded in binary data, with records terminated by a '1' byte.

Not compatible with a text editor or excel, though a programmer could work with this. Overall, a rather primitive effort, but if you need it, you need it. I have tested SIM Cards using this product and downloading software from /sim.html and software does not work. #SUNPAK 72 IN 1 CARD READER SIM DRIVER SOFTWARE PDF#.#SUNPAK 72 IN 1 CARD READER SIM DRIVER SOFTWARE MANUALS#.
